Armada Property UK is proud to sponsor the Exeter College Rugby team as they travel to Japan to compete in a prestigious international schools’ tournament.
Representing England, 30 Exeter College rugby players are travelling to Japan at the end of April to play at the 2026 SANIX tournament, an international schools rugby tournament that is held annually in the Fukuoka prefecture area of Japan.
Hosted by the Japan Rugby Football Union, the event brings together top youth teams from around the world. The Exeter College squad includes three players who have just returned from playing for the England Under 18s, including Tour Captain Harry Westlake. Current Exeter Chiefs Academy players Ruben Chugg and Henry Tanner are also part of the team heading to East Asia.
Ruben, who plays full-back and fly-half, commented: “I think it will be a very eye-opening experience for the team, especially as individuals realising their potential, but also to see our potential as a team. I’m looking forward to experiencing a new culture, especially in a new continent that I haven’t been to before, it’s not just about playing rugby.”
Henry, who plays hooker and back row, commented: “It will be a really cool experience to see the culture in Japan, and obviously to represent my country. Getting to wear the red rose on my shirt and just play with my mates will be an amazing experience.”
Armada Property UK is proud to be the official shirt sponsor for the team, with its logo prominently displayed at the centre of the new blue kit.
Jon Hill, Head of Rugby at Exeter College, commented: “We’d like to thank Armada Property UK for showing their support and becoming a shirt sponsor for the team. We are truly grateful for the very kind sponsorship from a wide range of local businesses, and Armada Property UK are now a key sponsor proudly displayed on our players shirts.
“Exeter College have a unique and amazing opportunity to represent the England RFU at a prestigious international youth rugby tournament, pitching ourselves against the best players in the world. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that we intend to embrace, not just in terms of sport, but culturally too.”

It’s an incredible achievement to even get to the point where they are representing England on an international platform. As a local business, we are committed to supporting young people in our community and helping them realise their potential. We wish the team every success in Japan. Good luck!”
